[Horizontal intraarticular dislocation of patella.].

Horizontal intraarticular dislocation of patella is a rare and relatively unknown injury. The authors describe a case of one patient with this diagnosis. They point out that this type of dislocation of patella should be treated primarily by open reduction with subsequent immobilization by plaster of Paris. The mentioned patient has healed without permanent sequelae. Key words: patella, horizontal dislocation.
